We are finally home. It has been a rough couple of days. On the 10 hour flight from Beijing to Seattle, Darci slept only 2 hours and was irritable most of the other 8 hours. The rest of the flights (Seattle to Atlanta and Atlanta to Nashville), Darci slept-thank goodness!!! We were greeted on arrival by several friends (Tanya and Faith, Sharon, Tracy, Kristen Denmon, and Kristen Riley, Sarah and the boys). Darci was a little overwhelmed and a little scared-how many changes she has gone through in her little life!!! But she warmed up quickly and by the evening was having a good laugh with her new friends. The first night was a rough one as we both were confused on what time it is (the so called jet lag). Darci cried for about 4 hours that night but the next day (after a 4 hour morning nap!!) she was having a great time with Sharon and Tracy (I was taking a much needed nap!!). Last night was a little better and I think each night will get a little better as we adjust to the time change. As this is my last blog-I really do appreciate everyone’s support and kind words. When I was struggling in China it was great to read encouraging words from home. This blog and the replies will also be a great treasure to Darci when she is older, as it not only records her adoption story but also the great family and friends that care about her deeply.

Hi Jackie,
Typical just sorting out christmas cards – sent yours – looked on Poetzinger site to check all my many cousins names – and see that your chineses adoption efforts after all the previous disappointments have been a success at last.
Congratulations to you and Darci – I am so pleased for you there are no words to express it – Except to say Darci is not on your christmas card, but will be in future.
Enjoy your first christmas together – with all your cousins- who will spoil Darci rotten I am sure.Lots of Love John
